Big Sky Carvers Marc Pierce Bliss, Fishing Sculpture Trout Fishing
A trout fisherman with a creel baits his hook at the waters edge in this sculpture in the Marc Pierce Signature Collection. Made using Montana Bronze (see below). 17W X 20.5H. Marc Pierce signature on the base. From Big Sky Carvers. Each original sculpture is composed using a proprietary process called Montana Bronze. Fine resins are combined with pure pewter and bronze and are hand cast to create these wildlife sculptures. The beautiful finish is the result of hand applied patinas and metallic paint, carefully matched to accent all of the subtle details of the artwork. Marc Pierce: I’ve been fly-fishing for trout for 30 some years and for me, it’s become less and less about catching fish and more about a state of mind. My life is pretty jam-packed busy between kids, business, etc, etc and time spent fishing is like a recess from reality for me. Focusing on all aspects of the game: reading the water, fish behavior, insect activity, casting proficiency, etc, etc, together with the stunning landscapes that most western trout waters provide, consume my mental focus. Which leaves little or no room for other life stuff that can wait until the rod is put away and the vest is hung up.
