Big Sky Carvers Master’s Edition Decoy Wood Duck Drake-John Gewerth
This is a Big Sky Carvers Decorative Decoy by John Gewerth. It is part of their Masters’ Edition Collection and is signed and numbered 125/1250, but not dated that we could see. It has a gold colored medallion on the underneath which is visible in the photographs. The decoy is in very good condition but does have some slight marring on both sides. It is not too noticeable but visible in the photos in the lighter brown areas. The Decoy is a bit larger than life size, 14.5 inches long, 5.5 inches wide, and 6 inches tall. It weighs just over 2 pounds. We are always happy to find a decoy done by John Gewerth. His decoys are always very well done and he is a well known carver and painter having received numerous awards over the years. A very nice decoy. It would be a great gift for a someone who appreciates seeing these beautiful ducks in the wild, or at your local park. We invite your offer. Big Sky Carvers 25th Anniversary Master’s Edition Green Head Decorative Decoy
This is a Big Sky Carvers Master’s Edition 25th Anniversary carving of a drake mallard. There is also a medallion pictured in the photos which is numbered 157/950. The decoy is not signed which is unusual for a Big Sky Carvers Decoy. It is a bit larger than life size, measuring 13.5 inches from breast to tail, 7.25 inches tall, and 6.5 inches wide. It weighs 3 pounds 4 ounces. We are not familiar with this particular series but the decoy is just stunning. It is in virtually perfect condition and what a wonderful gift for a water fowler. Mallards are the most common duck throughout North America so about every hunter has collected some of these gorgeous birds. This decoy would be a wonderful gift for any water fowler and a nice addition to any cabin, lodge, den, or man cave. We were unable to find another like it being offered so that is an indicator that owners just do mnot part with this guy.
