Here we have an RARE! ORIGINAL BIG SKY CARVERS OUT OF MANHATTAN MONTANA HANDCRAFTED SOLID WESTERN PINE JEFF FLEMING ORIGINAL CREATOR “BEARFOOTS JOHN BEAR” TOILET PAPER HOLDER FROM THE EARLY TO MID 90’S!! NOTE: This is not a Chinese Resin Reproduction! This is a early piece Hand Carved Original! These were retired years ago! Has the original brass metal plate attached on info. “John Bear” stands at 32 1/2″ tall, 7 3/8″ at the widest, and 5 1/2 deep to the tip of John’s nose. “John Bear” is meant to stand up against a wall, with an offset notched out on the back up 3 7/8. It is notched to fit over originally 1 x 4 baseboard. If you did not have the 1 x baseboard in your home, there was a hole that was drilled up from the bottom at 21 5/8to put a nail or screw threw to hold up against the wall. “John Bear” is in EXCELLENT CONDITION! There are no cracks, stains, etc. The coloring is superb! The glass eyes are brilliant! The only minor flaw I see is on his inside right paw, a couple areas of black paint had flaked off over time, Very easily touched up. I will leave that to the new owners of John!
