This limited edition sculpture, titled “The Captains” by Rick Terry, depicts historical explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. Designed by Big Sky Carvers in Manhattan, Montana in 1999, this piece is an early casting numbered 20 out of a standard limited run of 2450. Please note that while designed in the United States, physical manufacturing of this specific product line was outsourced internationally, making this an imported collectible. This piece was cast using Big Sky Carvers’ proprietary “Montana Bronze” process, a premium cold-cast composite blending fine bronze, copper, and pewter metal powders with a polymer binder. This construction gives the statue a heavy, authentic foundry weight and finish, mounted securely on a solid oval wood base. It retains its original Big Sky Carvers maker’s label and original retail pricing sticker on the underside. Maker/Artist: Rick Terry / Big Sky Carvers. Subject: Lewis & Clark (The Captains).
