I picked this vase up in Colorado one year back in the early 1990s, so it’s definitely vintage. The vase is a deep red with a taupe accent border around the top opening. Bottom label states this is stoneware, not to be used for food and for decorative purposes only. The vase is well suited for dried flower arrangements, as there is no hole at the bottom for drainage (and I wouldn’t put water and soil in this piece at any rate). This vase was particularly difficult to photograph, because it is heavily glazed and reflective. There are yellow, blue, and orange undertones in the glazing. The spots and bubbles you see in close-ups were inherent in the vase construction. The first image is probably the most accurate in color. The vase stands 13″ tall, and the top opening is 5 1/2″ in diameter. The bottom is 3 in diameter. Brown bears and bear paw prints circle the vase in a darker brown. The piece weighs three pounds and four ounces. We double box and insure. Feel free to ask.
