Ducks Unlimited Special Edition Ruffed Grouse Chris Olson, 1994-95
This is a Ducks Unlimited Special Edition Ruffed Grouse. It was finished by Chris Olson and has her name branded on the bottom of the wooden base. Also on the base is a Ducks Unlimited Special Edition Medallion with the D. Logo and the date 1994-95. On the underneath of the base, it is numbered 870. Chris Olson was one of the very skilled artists with Big Sky Carvers of Boseman, Montana. Be sure to look closely at the detail in the painting of this guy’s feathers. Events and raised thousands of dollars for waterfowl habitat. It is 10.5 inches tall and 11.5 inches from beak to tail. It weighs 2 pounds, 12 ounces. It was typical of Big Sky Carver’s carvings to be finished with a combination of paints and transparent stains and it shows well in this Grouse. We could find no flaws, no dents, no scrapes, no imperfections of any kind. Owners do not part with them easily and they are difficult to find. We invite your close inspection.
