My life is pretty jam-packed busy between kids, business, etc, etc and time spent fishing is like a recess from reality for me. Focusing on all aspects of the game: reading the water, fish behavior, insect activity, casting proficiency, etc, etc, together with the stunning landscapes that most western trout waters provide, consume my mental focus. Which leaves little or no room for other life stuff that can wait until the rod is put away and the vest is hung up.
