Big Sky Carvers Pintail Drake Decorative Decoy Signed Man Cave Cabin Lodge Den
This is a Pintail Drake Decorative made by Big Sky Carvers of Boseman, Montana. It has their branded logo on the underneath and it is signed by KRISTI JONES but not dated. Big Sky Carvers relocated to Manhattan, Montana in the early 1990’s so it was made prior to that move. Photos give a very good description. It is finished mostly with paints rather than transparent stains but wood grain shows in places. Also note, some of the paint is purposefully crackled, giving it an antique look. The Decoy measures over 15 inches from beak to tail. It is 6 inches tall, 4.5 inches wide. Big Sky Carvers Decoys are all well done. They employed artists from the surrounding area. Many of them were extremely talented and it shows on this artist. Take a close look at the base of the pintail, I cannot figure out if there is a repair or it’s the wood because I don’t see any evidence of a break on the underside of it. Pricing is a guess as we have not seen another like it. We invite your inspection and offer.

Vintage figurine/curio box from artist Cyndi Joslyn for Big Sky Carvers. Resin cast of animated edition line of “Santa Clausits” displayable curio boxes of santa. Comes with original box and packing. Box shows light wear. The piece was available from 1998 through 2000. No longer available or produced. This figurine features Santa going down the chimney, his feet dangling from the underside lid of the box… Unfortunately Santa is in mid slide when he realizes he has left behind, a sled, a pair of skates and a pair o snowshoes. Tip of one Feather tuft chipped off (left side) and partial beak chip. There are some lacquer spots on the body of the pheasant. There is a small area of fading in the stain on left breast side. These are all shown in pictures. Measures 25.5″ Long and stands 7.75″ tall.
