Big Sky Carvers Kingfisher Carving Description and Item Information Up for sale is this Kingfisher carving or sculpture by Big Sky Carvers. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This bird is painted and stained wood, with glass eyes; the bird is perched on a branch which is affixed to an oval wooden base. This piece measures approximately 11 11/16 inches tall by 5 1/2 inches wide by 7 1/8 inches long. Unpacked, it weighs 1 pound 9.0 ounces. This would be a fine addition to a collection of bird carvings. Identification This decoy was made by Big Sky Carvers. The artist’s name appears on top of the oval base, Peter Kaum. ” Set into the bottom of the oval base is a medallion which says, “Masters’ Edition Woodcarving Big Sky Carvers 102/450 USA Bozeman MT. Condition This carving looks very good overall, with light wear. It has no chips, cracks, or missing pieces. Terms of Sale 1. Limited Ed. Ashley Gray Big Sky Carvers Carved Wood Mama Duck & Ducklings Signed
Ashley Gray Big Sky Carvers Carved Wood Mama Duck & Ducklings; Signed. This lovely carving is from the Motherhood Series by Big Sky Carvers of Bozeman Montana. It was done by Ashley Gray and features a Mama Mallard and her two adorable ducklings. It is signed on the bottom and has a metal tag showing it was a Masters Edition #235 out of 1250. The piece measures about 14 by 13 by 8-1/2 tall. It has been well cared for and is in excellent condition with the exception of a mark where something fell off a shelf and dented the carving (see the last photo).
