Vtg BEARFOOTS MOOSE FAMILY CHRISTMAS CAROLS 5 Figures withAngel Big Sky Carvers
Moose’s by Phyllis Driscoll. BEARFOOTS Big Sky Carvers 1996. Original Gold sticker on base. To my observing eye, this precious scene depicts Dad and Mom with their two children singing Christmas Carols from their red Carol songbooks, and an Angel with a halo lending heavenly guidance from above. It came with small gold color keychain to hang the Angel on. You could also use the halo. I bumped the B&W a couple of times for contrast (obvious). There is a tiny repair on top of right antler of child on left. Note Glass pedestal not included. This piece can be displayed year-round. It’s nearly 30 years young. Big Sky Carvers, located in Montana of course, still has its website but this precious Family Choir is not listed. In April 2010, an announcement said it merged with another company in Kansas but product development, marketing and key account sales remain in Montana. As a point of interest, on one website they state that their unique foundry process used for many of their creations combines bronze, resin and pewter to produce quality sculptures comparable to far more expensive solid bronzes. They use hand applied patinas for life-giving touches, and the profound sense of realism and attention to detail make them truly magnificent. I will also be listing a 5-piece manger scene from Big Sky Carvers with Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus, and Baby Bear Angel overlooking, and an extra angel perch in case you want to add a decoration; about 4″ tall, black and white, perches are about 9″ tall. Also there is a Big Sky Carvers canoe with Moose, Raccoon, Bear Cub and Fox paddlers I will be listing and a small wall hanger of Mommy bear playing Hide n Seek with her babies. Haven’t finished unpacking.
