This is a figurine of a bird, specifically a pheasant, made of wood and hand painted. The title of the piece is “Prairie Rooster” and it is part of the Pheasants Forever collection by Big Sky Carver. Marc Pierce Regal Pheasant Sculpture Big Sky Carvers Montana
Stunning Mac Pierce sculpture titled Regal Pheasant Sculpture from the Marc Gallery Collection from Big Sky Carvers in Montana. Produced in 2015 this sculpture is hand cast with the Montana Bronze formula that is comprised of resin, bronze, pewter and is finished with multi-layered patina and metallic paint. It is 10 1/2″ tall, and is 15 1/2″ long. It is in excellent condition with no damage. Additionally, I can only combine items in one box if all the items can safely be packaged together. Most of my items are used, vintage or antique and come directly from estate auctions. I try to describe my items as accurately and honestly as possible and to disclose any signs of wear or imperfections that I see. The disclosed condition of any item includes both the written description and the contents of the photos, so any mark, defect, anomaly, flaw, damage, etc. That can be visibly seen in a photo constitutes disclosure of such condition regardless of whether or not it is further described elsewhere in the listing. Tip of one Feather tuft chipped off (left side) and partial beak chip. There are some lacquer spots on the body of the pheasant. There is a small area of fading in the stain on left breast side. These are all shown in pictures. Measures 25.5″ Long and stands 7.75″ tall.

Pheasant Big Sky Carvers Kenny Durham #1731 Hand carved Painted wood 1999
This is a stunning wood carving by Kenny Durham of Big Sky Carvers of Montana. It’s a life-sized ring-necked pheasant. The piece is all of one block and the body is just lightly stained and sanded to show shading suggesting primary feathers and subtle coloring. The head has the vibrant red cheeks of a male ring-necked pheasant on a green stained head. This piece is clearly created by a master. Note how the wood grain shows through and clearly suggests feathers. These pieces are rare on the market and highly sought after. This came out of the estate of a collector. See photos for details. Lets not take any chances with this one of a kind piece of art. On all listings measurements are to the best of my ability and could be slightly less or more.
