Vintage Big Sky Carvers Duck Decoy Description and Item Information Up for sale is this carved and painted duck decoy by Scott Huntsman for Big Sky Carvers. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This wooden decoy depicts a redhead duck. The feathers are beautifully painted with realistic detail. The duck has glass eyes. This decoy is approximately 13 inches long, 6 1/4 inches tall, and 5 3/4 inches wide. Unpacked, it weighs 1 pound 9.8 ounces. This would be a fine addition to a rustic cabin decor, or to a collection of sporting items. Identification This Big Sky Carvers of Bozeman, Montana decoy has an oval brand mark beneath, as shown. The artist’s name is written in ink beneath, SS Huntsman. The exact age of this vintage Scott Huntsman decoy is not known. Condition The duck looks great overall, with light wear. Hard to find Signed Big Sky Carvers SS Huntsman Old Squaw/Long-tailed drake carved/painted duck decoy. Stunning carving by “SS” Scott Huntsman, well-known artist at Big Sky Carvers. Head turned to the left. Decoy is approximately 17.5″ long bill-to-tail, tail is approximately 5.5″ long, body is about 6″ wide and 5.75″ tall. Signed, “SS Huntsman Old Squaw” with Big Sky Carvers logo brand on the bottom. In beautiful condition as shown. I always describe any and all condition issues I can find so you know what you are getting. I do not see any condition problems with this decoy. High Quality GOLD VERMEIL 925 Sterling Silver Italy Bracelet Multi Links. Big Sky Carvers (of Manhattan, Montana) wood duck drake decoy. Artist is Scott Huntsman. Signed and numbered 1008/1999. Beautiful decoy; does have a crack on the beak (has NOT detached or been reglued) which could probably be fixed with clamps and wood glue. Also a couple small dents to the body and head.
