Big Sky Carvers Ethan Allen Canadian Goose Decorative Decoy-Signed/Dated
This is a Canadian Goose Decorative Decoy. It is stamped on the bottom with the Ethan Allan name logo but it was finished by Anne Madsen, has her signature, is numbered #10, and is dated 1984. Photos provide a good description. It is finished with paints. Feathers have a brown edging which is slightly raised. The decoy is in near perfect condition but It does have a bit of pine sap that has bled through the paint on its white behind area and we left that as we found it. It is smaller than life size, measuring about 13.5 inches from beak to tail. It is 6.5 inches tall, 5inches wide, and weighs 2 pounds, 3 ounces. In the 80’s Ethan Allen had a number of decorative decoys made by various companies for sale as accessories to their furniture lines. Big Sky Carvers did a number of them and we are guessing this is one they did. We thought it a nice decoy, one that would not take up much space in your well appointed office or den.
