Big Sky Carvers Orvis Exclusive Collection Pintail Decoy- Signed-Man Cave, Cabin
This is an Orvis Exclusive Edition Pintail Drake Decorative Decoy. It was carved for Orvis by Big Sky Carvers of Boseman, Montana, and is signed by J. Oriet but not dated. The decoy is in excellent condition with no damage of any kind that we could observe. It is typical of Big Sky Decoys in that it is finished with paints and transparent stains that give it a rich, natural appearance. It measures about 20 inches long, 5 inches wide, and 6.75 inches tall. It weighs 2 pounds, 5 ounces. Big Sky Carvers made a large number of decorative decoys for many years. This decoy is one of a series they made for the Orvis Company. Pintail Ducks are fairly common in our area and are personal favorites. The drakes are just a beautiful bird and this decoy represents them very well. The decoy’s value is enhanced with the Orvis logo. It would look very nice in any man-cave, cabin, or lodge. It would be a treasured gift for any waterfowler and a nice addition to any collection of Big Sky Carver Decoys. Note: We have a couple other Orvis-Big Sky Carver decoys currently being offered. BIG SKY CARVERS John Solid wood carved toilet paper holder
Jeff Fleming-Rare solid wood toilet paper holder. Toilet paper holder for home or cabin bathroom. John is the bears name. One of the first John bear toilet paper holders carved in solid wood. This John Bear is no longer made. The new ones are cast resin. Specs- 32 tall- 7.75 wide-5.25 deep with aproximity a 3.5 notch cut out to go over baseboard. Has a hole behind toilet paper for one screw to attach bear to wall. One owner bought in Montana at Big Sky Carvers. He is an old bear so he may have a scratch or ding but the only ones I see are on the back side where he was attached to wall overall condition is very good. Looks great in any home. Rare Big Sky Carvers Fly Fishing Rod Reel Desk Lamp Light Cabin Decor
Rare retired rustic Big Sky Carvers fly fishing reel desk lamp light. The height can be adjusted by one of the sides. The screws could no longer hold the shade in place so silicone was used to attach it permanently. The shade has a crack in the inside/outside of one side along with a small chip at the bottom of the crack at the edge. There may be one or two other tiny nicks along the edge. Some of the oiled bronze finish has a bit of wear. The lamp itself works without any issues and is kind of heavy for its size in my opinion. Adjusted to its tallest point it measures 16.5″ tall and 17″ wide and at its shortest it is 11 tall. Meet “Gert” from Big Sky Carvers. She is a numbered edition from the Kalispell Collection and stands 15 tall, and holds a pink silk flower. What a sweet face — and carved from solid wood. She’s a beauty and a nice collector’s item! She appears to be “never even displayed” but because the box has been opened, I felt I needed to list it as “used”. If she ever WAS displayed, it was certainly in a clean environment. My guess is that it was a gift that wasn’t desired and just stored away.
