Photos of actual item. Stands 24 inches tall. This was the rarest and largest carving Big Sky Carvers had crafted as symbol of America. Absolutely stunning with deep colors and patina. Big Sky Carvers Master’s Edition Limited Ed. Bald Eagle-K D White Signed
This is a Big Sky Carvers Master’s Edition Carved Bald Eagle Statue. It is signed by the artist, K. White on the wood base and has a medallion underneath that is numbered 40/1250. Also underneath is a signed Certificate of Authenticity that tells about it being Master’s Edition of Wildlife Wood Carvings. We could not find a date of when it was made. The photos give a good description of the Statue. It is carved of wood which has been finished with a combination of paints and stains that allow the wood grain to show through. The Eagle is perched on a moose antler and our guess is that the antler and Eagle’s feet are made of resin. The Statue is 9.75 inches from the bottom of the wood base to the top of the Eagle’s head. The base, which is made of solid walnut, is 2.25 inches wide at the back. It weighs 4 pounds, 7 ounces. The moose antler is held in place with a threaded metal bolt and, at some time in its history, has loosed and allowed the end of the antler attachment pin to scratch the walnut base. The Eagle carving appears to be perfect and without flaw. Big Sky Carvers once employed a number of gifted artists and carvers in Montana. You will find big Sky Carver Products in many large sporting. Goods companies but we were not able to find any of this Eagle Carving. The resin sculpture on wood base measures 10″ tall 6″ wide and 7 1/2 deep and weighs over 5lbs. The front has a plague that reads “Noble Spirit by Bradford Williams 311/1250″ and the back is signed “97 Bradford Williams” see pics.
