Vintage Big Sky Carvers Duck Decoy Description and Item Information Up for sale is this carved and painted duck decoy by Scott Huntsman for Big Sky Carvers. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This wooden decoy depicts a redhead duck. The feathers are beautifully painted with nice detail. The duck has glass eyes. This decoy is approximately 13 1/4 inches long, 6 1/4 inches tall, and 5 15/16 inches wide. Unpacked, it weighs 1 pound 12.5 ounces. This would be a fine addition to a rustic cabin decor, or to a collection of sporting items. Identification This Big Sky Carvers of Bozeman, Montana decoy has an oval brand mark beneath, as shown. There is a handwritten number, 250. ” The artist’s name is written in ink beneath, “SS Huntsman. The exact age of this vintage Scott Huntsman decoy is not known. Condition The duck looks very good overall, with light wear. There are no chips or cracks. There are some minor, scattered, small indents and some fine scratches.
