Gorgeous Mint Condition 1990 Bob May Wood Duck-Gifted to My Father By Chris May
This beautifully hand carved and painted Wood Duck drake by Bob May was selected by Chris May as a gift to my father in 1990. It is signed by Bob May and has a personal note of thanks by Chris May on the bottom. Bob May was associated with Big Sky Carvers of Oswego, Illinois. This handsome fellow was displayed and cared for by my father until a few years ago, and then by me, but i have nowhere to display it properly in my new home. Bronze Whitetail Deer Leaping by B. J. Williams, Big Sky Carvings
Detailed cold cast bronze sculpture of leaping whitetail buck in forest on wooden base, signed B J Williams (c) 95. There is no issue number, likely because it was from Big Sky Carvers. Item 3601 (on box). Big Sky Carvers, Manhattan, Montana. 1948 is an award winning sculptor from Arizona. Sculpture dimensions not including base : 11 (length) inches x 11 inches (height) x 3.5 inches (max width). Oval base dimensions: 12 inches x 8 inches x 1.5 inches. Seems to be made of cold cast bronze (resin with heavy filler such as marble). It is fairly heavy and cool (but not cold), an indication that it may be cold cast. Please see photographs for what it looks like and condition. Original box has some water damage and writing on it.
